The former United Church at 260 High Park Avenue was recommended for Designation under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act by the Toronto Preservation Board.

Heritage Preservation Services prepared a detailed heritage property evaluation report to support the designation application.  Additional research and information was provided by the Etobicoke York Community Preservation Panel, and the Junction HCD Committee.

The owner of 2978 Dundas Street West has been successful in acquiring additional properties, and intends to double the scope of the original development proposal that was granted zoning approval in September 2015.

On 29 March 2016, the project team held a voluntary pre-application community meeting.  More than 65 residents, community representatives and Councillor Doucette attended to learn more about the details of this expanded proposal, and to express their concerns and comments.

A new development application was submitted to the City in April 2016, and a mandatory public    consultation meeting is pending.
